Interesting license plate sighting

I was stuck in rush hour coming home from work when I spotted a personalized plate that said "LAF4ME".

i remember a while back seeing a license plate with "TKLE" on it. I was very tempted to follow the driver and ask about it, but it probaby would have been creepy.

I got one a while ago when I got my first car (they give you the first one for free if you want a customized one) that was the variation of the word TICKLISH followed by a number. Everyone told me that it fit me well.

Memories....

...makes me recall the time, back in my Air Force days, when I was TDY to Nellis AFB in wonderful Las Vegas, Nevada. Unfortunately, when I saw this personalized plate, I was in another car with several other buddies, and back then this was still my deep, dark secret. I desparately wanted to follow the Mercedes it was on, though. The plate simply read,

"TICKLE ME"

What torture to have had to let that get away without knowing more! I'll always wonder about that.

My brother is a stand-up comedian and he has a personalized plate that reads "ULAFF4ME" If you saw that plate in NY it may have been him.

Yeah - I think the stand-up comedian possibility is the only likely other explanation. She was definitely driving a BMW Z3. Actually, she started darting in and out of traffic, and I own a 540i, so I wanted to show her what a real bimmer could do (j/k!) so I went with her. Then I backed off when I started wondering what I'd say to her if (when) I caught her....

This was in Phoenix, southbound on the 51.

You look for Tickles in the phone book? So do I. Partially because I'm interested in the origins of last names anyway, and partially because Tickle would be a great family name, especially for somebody who enjoys tickling.

Turns out the name Tickle comes from a location called Ticcen Hill, and not from a Middle Ages profession or personal characteristic as I had hoped.
