I was curious about the trends in ticklishness of my social media friends. So I decided to look at my main platform and dissect the stats. On the platform of the study, I have 655 friends. I eliminated males as I don’t have any information on their ticklishness. I then removed duplicate accounts.
The final sample size was 378.
Leading the way were females who I cannot confirm whether or not they are ticklish.
228 females or approximately 60%.
In second place was females who I can verify their ticklishness.
130 females or approximately 35%.
Lastly, females who I can verify as not ticklish was the smallest category.
20 females or approximately 5%.
Out of females known to be ticklish and females known not to be ticklish, approximately 87% are ticklish versus approximately 13% who are not.
One final interesting statistic. Of the 130 who I can verify ticklishness, I knew the overwhelming majority were ticklish on their feet.
122 of 130 or 94%.
What I learned from my sample:
-I don’t if most of my female acquaintances are ticklish or not.
-If I know a female is ticklish, statistically speaking, I know if their feet are ticklish.
-Females who are not ticklish at all are rare.
-I liked my sample. It was a good size. It was populated from a variety of different demographics. And it was randomly populated outside of the connection to me.
Your results may vary. You may have similar good time. But it was nice to see the trends at associate them with specific people.
