The movie has quite a strong cast, and the director's a fan with some credits as director and actor under his belt, so my comic-book-geek hopes are up on this. I just wish they used the armor from the late 60's, a much more elegant look IMHO.

Anybody a fan of 70's Italian genre cinema? Fabio Testi would have made a very good Tony Stark.

well, i know that i'm looking forward to Iron Man. Downey has had his ups and downs in the past, and i think his tarnished history and Stark's have a lot in common. i mean, how good can a character with such demons be if the actor hasn't had any himself?

i am also excited about the second Batman flick, and some of the other projects coming up in the next few years. FF2...i'm a little scared...but it has the Surfer, so it can't be all bad.

anywho...the first pic i threw in to my post if a funny little item. the second pic is Heath Ledger in his new role.

In FF2, Galactus is apparently going to appear... as a storm cloud.......

Kinda reiterating tckift's reply, I can't be more excited. I recomend checking out Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang for a look at Downey's current talent (and because the movie is really damn good). Obviously a different character than billionaire Stark, but I could definitely picture him in it from there.

And Jeff Bridges is cast as most likely the villain. That alone will get me in the theater.

Jon Favreau seems to be genuinely geekgasm excited and gung-ho, and both costumes look amazing. Besides Batman, this is the comic movie I'm most looking forward to.
