is there such a thing as tortured laughter?

Can you detect the hidden meanings of the laughter you hear? Can someone's laughter have more of a "fun" sound behind it, or a "tired" sound depending how long they've been tickled?

Of course. Laughter can sound very yelping and sobby.

At that point i would say that,s enough ,..the turn on fer me is the laughter ,..if it goes beyond that,..and turns into screaming ...well no point in continuing , either that or it,s time for a good break.

My laughter usually turns very quickly into whimpering and
desperate. When I reach the point where my Owner decides
I've had enough, that's where I'm either crying, or my laughter
sounds like crying. I guess you could say it's tortured laughter.

I use the term "tortured laughter" in some of my writing, but I don't think it's a lagit term or anything.
