After almost six years of drawing tk, this is my first time this has happened. I would like input if anyone has it.

I'm sure we've all had tk dreams at some point or another. For me personally, it happens about once every two weeks. I'm also working on a new tk comic right now. Longer than anything I've done before, but certainly familiar territory.

Last night I had this dream where I was IN the comic actually watching it happen and watching the story unfold and everything. It was totally weird. I thought 'I know what this is and I know what's going to happen. This is the comic I'm working on. WTF?!?!'

Does this happen to anyone else who writes/draws for this forum or am I losing my already slack grip on reality? Am I working too hard? Not enough? Am I just lucky?

Thanks for your time.

I've had this happen in reverse. I'll dream something TK-related and decide to write it down in story form. Or, when Drew does a really good job on me, I'll generally be dreaming of it all night long. My guess is that you have more of the story formulated in the back of your mind and it just came out in the dream. I wouldn't worry about it unless it's something that was disturbing to you.

It's perfectly normal to dream about things that you have been thinking about that day. Don't worry about it.

Look into "lucid dreaming", where you consciously take control of the dream and direct it the way you want things to go.

Just hope that Shemp doesn't show up to tickle you. :shake: :ermm: :scared: 😱

With an imagination like yours, this sort of thing isn't surprising. Unless it bothers you, I'd say ride with it. It's cool!

Normal?

I guess Forest Gump would say, “normal is as normal does”. Personally, I have a hard time to get through a night without dreaming of something tickle related, and some of them can get pretty bizarre. But I’m certainly not going to complain since there’s nothing in the world that I enjoy more than tickling. Is that normal? Who cares, as long as it doesn’t adversely affect the rest of your life.

BTW – Pay no attention to the Shempaphobes, he’s sitting with me right now and we’re both doing just fine.

Milagros is right, you have nothing to worry about. I had something similar happen to me before. I fell asleep while reading the da vinci code and i continued the story in my dream. Now that was a cool dream.

From an aesthete's point of view (if i may so liberally call myself that) that what you're describing is not only normal but a rare gift. I have these same experiences.

Every erotic dream i've ever had has dealt with tickling in some form or another.

Every decent painting idea and every idea for a story has come directly from a dream.

Often these two things crossover. I'm reminded of those few months i was writing a silly little novel length thing (not tickling related) when i became so engrossed with these characters that i would have tickling dreams about them. I think that the creative mind is eager to take characters, which usually are somewhat representative of their creator, and imbue them with deep seated passions and fantasies. In that respect, dreaming about them is like dreaming about yourself, in a different form.
That kind of creativity should be embraced, the dreams acting as a muse for the outpourings of artistic contribution. Or at least that's what i think, but i'm no expert, either.

I really wouldn't worry. One night I was chatting with Tickleshotel right before I went to bed and I was talking to someone in my dream and I saw her screen name, Tickleshotel, written on a piece of paper. I had grabbed the paper and asked the person about it and that was when I woke up.

Well, at least I'm not alone in these kinds of dreams. That's always encouraging. 🙂 Thanks for that. And I'm not really worried about it or anything. It's just interesting to think that my subconscious would have me chatting with fictional character just before a grand-scale tickling session. Rare gift? I'd say so yeah. 😉

Anyone else have dreams like this?
