Is tickling someone against their will a big problem?

I notice the comments from the Tread Moose started regarding tickling his GF

who hates to be tickled.

I have seen a lot of tickling. I have never seen anyone ask permission.

I have only seen people attack the ticklish person.

I have seen this at weddings, outdoor events in school...many places.

Many times friends relatives etc... Sometimes classmates.

Have the police been called in by people you know to stop tickling.

Is it a big deal that I do not know about...

I don't want a therapist text book answer... Only the truth about what you have

observed.

We used to call this behavior fun.

I have not heard about some guy with a mask on breaking into people's houses to tickle

someone.

Making reference back to the Moose Tread I say tickle the girl and hope for the best!

If it creates a big problem deal with it.

Your destiny is in your hands...

Go for it Moose!

Better to take a chance in life for what you want!

No one makes it being safe all the time.

This is just my opinion!

Go Moose! Go Moose!

You decide!

I say bet it all!

There's always that playful "see what happens" tickle. But...if you know the person doesn't like it, then its cruel. I expect my boundaries respected and would respect yours. This is no different. There might be a reason someone hates it. Past abuse, etc. A quick, playful tickle for a couple seconds...one thing, tied up, quite another.
Friends and family are under a separate category all together. It's just play. It does not feed my need for tickling at all.

Knowing right from wrong is always a plus in life. If that is not enough, one can always ask one's self, "Is going to JAIL a big problem?"

Why do you type like that? It's a forum post, not a poem. Sorry, that just bugs me.

Also, yes it's a problem. Some people do get off on being bound and tickled, but that isn't exactly against their will. If someone truly doesn't want it, and it's more than a playful poke, it could be sexual harassment or even molestation.

I type like that because it's the style I choose...

There are no rules against it!

I did not imagine that it would bug anyone...:nicethread: Yea!

If you tickle someone and they ask you to stop in a serious manner, you stop. End of story

If they smile/appear as though they're enjoying it/or don't pull away, then there's a chance you might be onto a winner. But it's all about respect, trust, and decency.

In the past, if I tickled someone and anger entered the picture, that was the signal to stop. If they laughed, begged, or pleaded, it was a toss up. Obviously you don't want to really piss someone off, but a little "non-con" is great, as long as you don't go overboard with it. Do respect the limitations.

Yes, tickling someone against their will is wrong. Why is this even a question?

I only hope that Moose will use his best judgement! He need only listen to his inner self...

My opinion is simply grab her and give her the tickling of her life.

If she is his almost girlfriend I am betting that she may like it...

Take the shot Moose but be careful! You need not listen to me! I offer my opinion nothing else.

She might think like some of the people that are

answering these treads...

Also Moose, you might beg her to let him tickle her...

That may be a working model. I don't know...

Another option, Moose have a lecture with her

about what tickling means to him...

So: Moose...

Read everyone's view...I clearly represent the minority view...

It is the view of the few that makes the world change...:gathering:

I started this tread to open discussion and to express my view...that's why it is a question re Teal!

The answer is not absolute... the answer is clearly based upon the facts...

just like the following questions...Is abortion wrong?... is gun control wrong?... is capital punishment

wrong?... Is gay marriage wrong... Laws reflect society...Society is constantly changing...

there can be more than one correct answer or no correct answer...

If Moose tickles his almost GF and it is treated as an assault, then the courts decide... if it goes there,

you could have any result. (Even an absurd result).

Court cases are always based upon the facts placed in evidence and presented. In the operative case,

(assuming there is one), you have to wait for the judge and possible jurors to rule.

Moose will make the decision... tough decisions are not easy...

Harry S Truman made one of the toughest decisions in History! Was he right!:shrug:

Tickling is no different than any other physical touching in that if someone doesn't want it, DON'T do it. It's their body, and their right to ask not to be touched. Tickling someone who truly doesn't want it can get you in a lot of trouble.

I have never, ever seen a reply to a thread as spectacularly pretentious as this one. It's either pure poetry, or a slab of absolute nonsense....

I don't know what his problem is, he's full of nonsense. I've decided to just ignore everything he posts from now on.

I can never tell whether he's being serious or sarcastic, but it's very strange, either way! Not to mention completely wrong, as well.

"Act in such a way that you treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of any other, never merely as a means to an end, but always at the same time as an end." --Immanuel Kant's second formulation of the Categorical Imperative.

DandyJack: The whole thing began, as you observe yourself, when you responded to a post by a guy whose new sort-of girlfriend hates being tickled and has gotten angry at him for attempting it. You suggested that he grab her and give her the tickling of her life. Game show buzzer, my friend: That is the wrong answer. I'll be happy to explain why, except you seem to have your mind made up that you're right and all the rest of us are wrong. In other contexts, sure, you can try tickling a woman and see if she lets you get away with it. But when she's that firm and adamant, then no, no, no, no, no.

I prefer to call it majority and minority view...

There is no right or wrong answer, only your opinion...

every situation is different... What makes the difference is the total set of facts...

what I can tell you is that I don't agree with you.

that is all...

I live in the United states therefore my freedom of speech is at work here...

All I am doing is simply expressing my view. It need not be the same as yours.

The final choice is up to Moose...

I am hopeful that he will tell us the next chapter...

I personally have the same problem...I have a girlfriend who

does not want to be tickled.

So I don't mention it... I let her have her way. No tickling.

However I do hire professional girls to tickle. I tell her that is how it will work.

My answer is quite sad but it is the way I resolved it.

I don't want drama about tickling.

I kept my GF for a companion. She does make great coffee and she's a great travel companion.

We have no sex at all... she wants it that way...I accept her choice...

If I find another girl who wants to be involved with tickling and also wants GF status...then

changes may have to occur.

The game show buzzer goes to Moose.

Dandy Jack!

Gag them early on, then you can tell the judge you had no idea what they were saying.

No sex, no tickling? You got the short end of the stick in that relationship Dandy Jack! And these girls you hire to tickle does your girlfriend know you hire them? Back to your original question every tickling instance is pretty much against someone's will unless before you tickle them you clearly ask for permission which just does not happen in real life tickling situations. Tickling just sometimes happens out of the blue with no warning, how far you take it is when it may become a big deal.

Among all this talk about game-show buzzers and the principles of relationships, I think the original point of conversation has been lost....

if i were you id just tickle the person, and then be like hey im helping you in a way atleast this way you will be more immune to it and hopefully not be as ticklish later on lol, ive done this to my guy friend alot! to the point where we havent talked for a couple days but we made up after

While you are free to speak and to disagree with everybody, you are not free to commit simple assault on women. That is exactly what unwanted touching is, simple assault. The fact that you might get away with it 99% of the time won't help you if tickle the wrong woman against her will, one who will go to the police and swear out a complaint against you.
