I felt sad to hear this. The Jeffersons was one of my all time favorite shows growing up, and Ms Sanford was a very talented actress. She will be missed. She was truly a pioneer on TV, one of the first African American women to have a starring role on a major television show. Sanford and co star Sherman Hemsley had great chemistry on the show.

My mom used to say that Louise Jefferson was one of her favorite TV characters because, well...let me put it this way...Louise Jefferson reminded me of my mom.

Isabel Sanford looked like a very nice lady, I'd have liked to have known her.

I really admired the charactar she played on the Jeffersons. A very self assured woman who knew how to put her bossy, arrogant husband in his place. She played the role well. Much less subservient than Edith
