btw, JPie, I will admit the Yanks are good, but the Cubs pitching machines are waiting for them in the Series😀

JPie is singing the happy song. Yanks in 2004! So 1 game before All star break, the Yanks will be well represented there. They have the best record in baseball and currently 6 games ahead of stinky sox.

Judy, my Dad called me today from Florida, to give me yet another of his one hundred and fifty seven tirades about Bernie Williams, and the two thousand sixty ways in which he sucks. My father is THE ultimate Yankees fan, for all you Yankee haters out there (I'm sure Ray would find him entertaining). He's very hard to please...and he finds himself wishing it were the likes of a Manny Ramirez in the lineup instead of Bernie Williams. Unfortunately, after all these years, I find little about Bernie Williams to defend to him. Most of his at-bats are embarrassing, he DOES throw like a little girl (as my father contends), and he's a liability, especially since Ken Lofton wants to play.
Of course, Bernie can sure play drums.

so here it is, July is over. The Yankees are 9 1/2 games up on the Boston Red Sox. Does anyone still believe that the Red Sox are going to catch up? Now they are just fighting for the wild card spot. The Yankees bring in another pitcher, granted the pitching has been suspect this year but they always do what they have to win and thats why others are jealous! The Yankees will win the AL East and hopefully on to another Pennant and World series year....

so here is to all the nay sayers....

ummm, Ray. Sweetie did you see the standings this morning? 10 1/2 games up now...thats over 10 I believe! Unless the Yanks go on a major skid (like losing all to sox) and Boston goes on a tear your done in the AL east.

Natural I would love to see a Yankee\Cubs series...hope to see the cubs in it this year! Hey if you would get tickets for the Chicago side maybe I would even fly out to come!!
