For those that watch the show, if you saw part 1 of last night's season finale, does it seem to you like this may be the series finale too? I just got that vibe. They start off in the intro as dead at Heaven's gate, and the episode is titled "The Gang Goes to Hell." To be honest, I couldn't think of any other way to end the show than with them all dying. The beginning make me kind of think it could be the end, but then Mac coming out as gay, Dennis finally doing his "implications" move on a young girl, and them all being locked in boat jail, I'm pretty convinced this might be the last of the series. Why not go out on a high note right?

I heard the series was signed for 2 more years, but I'm strongly convinced they wanted to end it without announcing it so the expectations weren't so high on a series finale. They wanted to mirror the show after Seinfeld, but on "crack", and we all remember how Seinfeld disappointed due to the high anticipation for the final episode, so...with that being said, it would make sense to not announce the season finale as the show finale, that way people don't have a predisposed idea of how it should end, and then get disappointed.

They already signed season 12, so I doubt it. Especially since this season has been one of their best.

Also, I have this theory right now that they're all actually in a rescue ship or on land in the scene "in heaven" and they're trying to deceive the audience with the bright lights and talk of judgment. Im saying this based on the fact that they're all wearing robes and Dee's mascara has dripped and wiped down her cheeks a bit- as if they just got pulled from the water or the sinking ship.

We'll find out next week!

I'm hoping that's the case as well because the show is still as good as ever. I actually think it's gotten better over the past few seasons than it was in seasons 6-8, which is when I was starting to worry their best episodes were behind them.

I'm a huge fan of Seinfeld, but I actually think It's Always Sunny is the best comedy show of all time. The characters of Seinfeld were perfect for their roles, but they couldn't have pulled off the dark nature of comedy that the characters do on Sunny.
