I stopped by Sam's Club on the way home from work last night. After grabbing a few items and waiting at the check-out line, I saw it:

an 9ft. inflatable Jack-o-lantern guy with a Dracula cape!!!

Amazingly stupid. Wouldn't it be hot in a cape during summertime?

Well, just buy it now when it is cheaper at the off-season price and put it under your Christmas tree until you need it.

I work in retail and we are already getting our stuff in for a heating setup. Heaters and fireplace stuff. I figure in another couple of months we should start getting the christmas stuff in. By the time Christmas actually gets here everything is all gone. We have to get it in to give us time to set the department up but there is no reason why it cannot wait until at least October.

In all seriousness, I hope to get the jump on Christmas gift-buying this year. Starting now if I must. Due to work and school and the insanity of The Season, it has a way of creeping up if I wait past October. Last year, I was one of those schmucks running around at the last minute, buying those crap gifts that scream, "I'm one of those schmucks that runs around at the last minute"-kinda gifts.
