Those occasions when I get TMF burnout sneak up on me without warning or even me realising the next one is here. Before I know it I've been gone a month and feel inclined to leave it further. But now I've been back a couple of weeks and have finally returned in full just this evening and dammit I just realised how much I missed it round here.

Indeed I was busy training Steve. Just a shame the accident curtailed it. Dawgs is the greatest work buds to have, yanno? The main problem I had, was that I was too soft. If a dog is fucking you around and not sticking close by, you're supposed to step out and check it hard with the leash. (Bear in mind youse guys, that we're talking 90 lbs of GSD here. Not doing nothing that's gonna damage him. Just a minor version of what the alpha male would do in the wild if he stepped out of line.) Well my dog, Max, winced as I set to do it for about the sixth time and I pulled the check. Got a bollocking for being too soft, but I just hated the wince of impending whasname on his furry little face. 🙁
