I've thrown out my cigarettes...

i plan on it Mils...one thing i can say about myself, when i'm determined, i won't back down... love you my friend..

p.s. i highly recommend this program if you can stick with it..after a bit, the cigs don't taste good, you lose the enjoyment, plus the nausea is enhanced by smoking..

Way to go, Melanie! We're all so proud of you, and you're in our thoughts and prayers!

🙂 E. Bunbury

Good on you,Girl!

I`m so happy for you and your husband,Melanie! Congratulations! I know that you will start feeling better as the days go by! Hang in there and don`t give in if the urge strikes! We`re all so proud and happy for you! Great job! :cuddle: :couch:

Ebunbury, Kilintiko, and Lovesheels..thank you all so very much..last night i dreamed i did give in and went out and bought a pack...and as i smoked my first cigarette, i was so disappointed in myself..only in the early morning do i get an urge..like after i've drunk my first cup of tea..i'm fighting it..i'm looking forward to Saturday, that will be a whole week without...

thanks Chosen....at the beginning of this ordeal, i never thought i would be able to quit, or want to quit..i'm a bit surprised at myself...🙂

thank you also Adam :twohugs:

They say if you can beat it for a week, you can beat it for life.

Stay focused on the goal, you'll do fine :twohugs:

Morph

PS -- Blue Thunder -- that movie was actually on the other day, and I watched it, JAFO !! 😛

The first three days are the toughest, and after that it is all down hill from there. I still get craving from time to time, but it is not difficult as the first three days. Just remember, right now it is easier to stay non-smoking than to begin smoking and try to quit again.

Go Izzy!
Go Izzy!
Go Izzy!

You can do it girl! I have complete faith in you. Cigarette smoking is a really tough habit to break. So do whatever you must in order to beat the beast. I have my own issues to deal with; thank goodness smoking isn't one of them.

thanks guys for having faith in me..i never thought i could do this...today marks day five...and saturday will be one whole week..wow i'm doing this, i'm really doing this...

kis love you girl...

Way to go Isabeau! You are my example. I'm on the road now myself. Using the SmokeAway system. Mostly, trying not to think about it. I see several weeks, at least, of struggle ahead, but hope, like you, to stick it out and not go back. Need to ask MasterTank to send some of those healing spells my way too! Keep up the good work, Melanie!

thanks hon....my hairdresser is proud of me, and because of my example, she is starting her chantix pills again..she had quit..right now, the craving is pretty strong...i''ll continue fighting it, but i'll be damned if i gain weight over this...

I quit once for 3 weeks.
Izzy, do not do what I did - after the 3 weeks, I was craving BADLY! I said "Just one will not hurt... just one more is no big deal..."
Guess what?

But now, the stupid ass excuse for a state of Indiana is going to impose another $1 tax per pack on cigs. Pisses me off.
My problem, I don't really "want" to quit yet.
When people are trying to quit, what causes that? do they just decide they hate smoking?
The first time I "quit" was cause I had a bad cold and could hardly breathe, let alone smoke. I thought I had that smoking shit over with. :Grrr:

Yeah stay away from the habit. It is a money pit, and it stinks.

thank you love.:twohugs:..today marks one whole week without...now i don't plan on updating everyone every time a day or week goes by lol...but it's been a hard week...i get these headaches that crave nicotine, so i just drink really hot tea..

ok shameless bump but today i faced the worst craving since i gave up these cigarettes...having to face the upcoming ordeal of traveling up, and then attending a funeral service, and trying to be a comfort to David, today i almost gave in and went and bought some cigs...i called him and was like shaking and stuff...he told me to think about it first..that i didn't want to be a failure...i said i can't do it..so then he suggested taking a long walk first, and that worked..and the craving left..

Good job on not giving in, Isabeau. :xpulcy: We all want you to succeed in staying off cigarettes. :grouphug:

Very proud of you Melanie, for not giving in!You have it licked luv,get through the weekend and you will be fine. :dogpile:

I'll try..however i always associate hotel rooms with smoking for some reason..thank goodness the hotel we are staying provides a fitness center..i will definitely use it..today i walked four miles.. this is one tough habit to get the best of...thanks buggy and Mils..xoxoxo

THREE HUNDRED CHEERS!!!!!! (Three isn't enough.) Can completely imagine how hard it was to overcome that craving and how hard it will be to face the rest over the next few days. But, you've faced the first head on and WON! You can do it again. What a PHENOMENAL AND FANTASTIC EXAMPLE YOU ARE, Isabeau!!!!!!

Congrats on beating the craving, Isa. You are stronger person than I (When it comes to addictions). :santasmil

thanks guys...if i'm strong it's because i don't want to disappoint david..he keeps saying how proud he is of me..and i so hated venting to him yesterday at the office, especially now...damn i'll be glad when this is all over..this is the worst part, sitting around waiting. if he hadn't been cremated, everything would have been moving faster maybe...then again maybe not, since his dad would have had to have been transported up from florida..i hate death..
