Just curious if anyone here is into japanese rock\metal, im sure there are some but just curious and wonderin if a discussion can be had

My tastes lean towards that of X(japan), luna sea, dragon ash and any side project of hide

at first look I thought it might have meant Jesus Rock ... !! 😀

I doesn't matter if I listen to any J-rock song. I can't understand it so it always sounds like its perfect. The subtitles are weird though.

I learned some japanese from that and other mediums which i listen to\watch. Doesnt matter if i fully understand it or not, the music itself speaks wonders

lol, a local and popular japanese restaurant plays japanese rock in the bathroom, and always thought it was cool, phsyced out the old people by head banging in one of the stall when they come in... :weird:

I'm a J-rock/metal fan, though I've only recently started really enjoying the rock. X Japan would be my favorite - especially their Art of Life album, which is simply a masterpiece. I also have enjoyed Malice Mizer, L’Arc-en-Ciel, Moi Dix Mois, Dir en Grey, and Glay. I haven't looked much into Hide's projects yet, though I hear good things. Concerning metal, Sigh is the best Japanese metal band I've heard, along with one of the better metal bands altogether. Some others that I favor in the metal genre would be Baskerville, Fatima Hill, Sabbat (not to be confused with the band of the same name from the UK), and Gargoyle.
