Jack Nicholson tickles Michele Pfeiffer's foot in pool

I always wondered about that scene back when I was a teenager. The scene transition really makes it difficult to be sure, and since VHS tape was such crappy quality I had to leave it as "plausible" (now there's an episode of Mythbusters that needs to get made). I've not seen it on DVD, and I would imagine that such a famous movie will eventually get the Blu-Ray treatment. Is it more obvious at high res?

Well I had this movie on DVD in past, but I also had a problem of not beeing able too see her feet perfectly because of subtitle, but I could see Nicholson's right hand dangerously close her left foot, actually I could swear that I saw (as much as you can under the water) that he gently slided his finder up her foot, from front of her heel to her toes.

And there is also the fact that this giggly laughter is mostly reaction to tickling and this is not how Michelle usually laughs, I know that because I saw her in plenty of other movies and I used to watch a lot of interviews with her in the past.

Also, from my experience (or experience of my ex girlfriend to be more precise 🙂) feet are usually more ticklish when wet (or it is just easier to tickle, because they're smoother, my ex never explained it best to me), but I know that when we used to go to the seaside she used to say to me "don't you try to tickle my feet". and her reactions included much more screaming and giggling (like one that Michelle makes), than when I tickle her during foot massage or so...

So we may never know for 100%, but we certainly have justified reasons to believe that indeed was tickling.

hard to see or tell. maybe someone should magnify that?

The video's been removed, I don't remember him tickling her in this scene (i'd love to see it again!), but I WILL say this:

This movie has some kind of tickling theme. In the beginning of the movie, Cher pokes/tickles either Susan Sarandon or Michelle Pfeiffer, later on a crazy lady (something like the mayor's wife) starts ranting and starts saying "tickle tickle tickle", and at another point in the movie, when the three actresses are cavorting in Nicholson's mansion he says something like "That's right ladies, let it tickle you". So, though I don't remember this scene (and I sure would love to see it!), it seems like a plausible thing, given the "tickling" theme throughout the movie (which, I must confess, I don't really get how it connects to the plot!).

Still waiting for the Michelle Pfeiffer scene from, I think it's called, "The Children Who Never Laughed", I've never seen that one either!

What's about that "Children Who Never Laughed", I've never heard of it, does it have any tickling refferences?

Sorry, rmfan, it was on the old Tickletown list, apparently she's attacked by a bunch of kids and tickled. I heard that she had pretty great reactions also (never have seen it myself). I believe it was a TV movie in the early 80s.

Hm, I can't manage to find it on imdb, are you sure it's the real name?
