I didn't see a thread on this and while I don't speak too vocally sometimes on world events the tragedy with U.S. journalist James Foley struck a nerve. Despite the audacity of the action, in the photo of the journalist before the incident ,at least to me, portrayed a look of ''go f**k yourself''. Maybe I'm wrong and and my perception is off but James seemed to behold a very honorable look when facing death. If so, good for him. R.I.P.

The beheading was savagery, but, SK, let's be careful when referring to Foley as a "good person". A look back at his Twitter feed shows that he was a typical anti-American, anti-Israel shill posing as a "journalist", and was in Syria to support the same jihadists who chopped off his head.

I feel terrible for his family and wish nothing but death to his murderer, but sometimes what goes around comes around.

The people that commit these acts must non-human. The thought of someone going through something so awful is just sickening - anyone who thinks the video would be interesting (as I do) would probably end up scarred for life after watching it (which is why I haven't), so how anyone can actually carry out the act itself, for it not to have any affect on their mental state whatsoever surely means they have a mental state so concerning that they have no place in mankind.

I don't get involved with debates where religion is involved - this must be go beyond religion - the world is just so fucked up I honestly feel at a loss to fully understand the ins and outs of it all, or to debate and contribute to discussion around these matters. I only post here as my grave concern for the future of the planet makes me feel as I must.

Thanks for the link. I had suspected he was there to support the Jihadis rather than just report the news about them, and his twitter posts make that clear.
