Actually he tried to unionize the WWF in the mid-late 80's, and he almost did until Hogan ran to McMahon and ratted him out.

Yeah, that's true, but then again you can be critical and still take the chek IMO. As long as you don't say "It's bad and I never want anything to do with it again.". I don't think he's ever said that, he's just said he thinks it could be improved for the sake of the wrestlers.
