I have the benefit of working at a place where,to combat tension and panic,we get to joke around reciting famous lines from The Simpsons,Family Guy,South Park,Flintsones, and old Warner Brothers Cartoons.
It also pays off well if the people you work with have the same passionate interest for great cartoon humor.
I can do a great -Cartmen "Respect my Authoritaaa!!!!!" ,Stewy's (Family Guy) "What the Deuce!!?"
We also act out alittle. When someone mentions Chris Griffin's Evil Monkey living in his closet, several people including myself do the wicked stare and point an index finger at each other.
We sometimes get laughing so hard that we loose track of the work and have to gain control back, as it were.
Yesterday,I introduced Friskey the pup (Warner Brothers),who goes around sneaking up on Claude the Cat and barking madly, which results in the cat stuck upside down on the ceiling.I can do a very good high pitched Frisky bark!
Then there's the Flinstone Song "Happy Anniversary" which I and others sing.I use full body mannerisms I learned from watching thatepisode hundreds of times.(You have to keep your eyes closed and lift you head up when you sing the "Haaaappy Anniversay" part of the song!
Sorry if this thread has no real purpose.I just had a free moment to write something.
