This is primarily for the foot lovers out there. Has anyone else every noticed that in every movie she has ever done, that there is at least one scene where she is barefoot. Also, walking down the aisle in her first marriage, she was barefoot. There was also talk of her feet in one of her early interviews with Barbara Walter. Kinda makes me think she has a thing for showing off her feet or something like that. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Noticed? Are you kidding? How could any self respecting foot lover NOT notice? Mmmmmmmm. Not since the old times of Doris Day movies have I seen an actress barefoot in practically every movie she's made. Nicole Kidman comes close, and so does Goldie Hawn in some of her later movies that she directed/produced. (Did anyone see The Banger Sisters ? OMG!). But I've watched Julia Roberts movies time and time again. If I were ever to get married, and I suppose it's possible, I wonder if I'd have the nerve to walk down the aisle barefoot? Probably not, unless the wedding was at the beach, or a park. Well wishers could ask, instead of "May I kiss the bride", "May I tickle the bride" 🙂 😉

Also Meg Ryan . . Here's a short list of movies that have Meg Ryan's feet displayed. . .

5) In The Cut (NOT out on DVD or VHS as yet. Release date is February 10, 2004))

Even though Julia Roberts gets on my nerves, I do recommend the episode of "Friends" that she did a few years back. There's a scene where she's in a restroom with one of the guys on the show(she's plotting to steal his clothes or something), while she's in a stall the camera pans down where you see her kick off her shoes and they show her gorgeous feet. And they really look even hotter against the black pants she's wearing.

Actually I read somewhere in an interview with her, she was in agreement with you!
In some book which they turned into a movie (Conspiracy Theory maybe?) the guy apparently had this obscene foot fetish and she was so self conscious about hers she told the producers "no way, unless you take all that shit out of the script!"

Julia is from the South, and I know it is somewhat more of a barefoot culture, but dang, it's like just about EVERYTHING she does she's shoeless. I've wondered half seriously if it's in her contract somewhere. Don't know how she could be self conscious about her feet when she shows them - overtly - that much.

She's like a younger Demi Moore. There's ANOTHER one.....

While the poster for "The Mexican" had her bare foot sticking out and featured prominently, that scene never occurred in the film. 🙁 I hate it when I see a movie on the basis of the poster, and no such scene is in the film. Can you say "false advertising"?

There was a scene of her lying on her belly on a bed during a phone conversation, with her knees bent and her soles visible. 😀 😀

If I remember, it was at the end of the movie, when she was pulled out of the trunk. The scene wasn't edited or framed the way it was on the poster, but the scene was there.

There was an article in People back when the movie "Hook" came out that said that a guy the job of cleaning Julia Robert's feet between takes since she had to barefoot all the time (she played Tinkerbell)! I remember that passage quite well and it fueled many a thought about Ms. Roberts.

Julia Roberts grew up only about 15 miles from me, and there is definitely a "barefoot culture" in Georgia and most of the south, especially women in the south (heck, I'm a guy and am sitting here barefoot right now 😀

My mom grew up in Tennessee, and she went barefoot virtually year round (only on the coldest winter days did I see mom wearing shoes). It was the same way with my sisters and their friends (and their friend's moms). My oldest sister has lived in Oregon since 1997 and still goes barefoot much of the winter....walks barefoot to her mailbox on January mornings (admits she gets some strange looks from native Oregonians unnacustomed to seeing pretty bare feet outdoors in the winter). As I mentioned on another post, my cute young neighbor Connie goes barefoot outside all winter long...was outside barefoot a couple weeks ago one morning and it 25° degrees).

Julia Roberts's penchant for "barefooting" is honestly nothing unusual....not surprising to any guy who lives in Georgia, or is married to a Georgia girl.

I wonder how her shoelessness ends up in so many movie roles, though. Even when she wasn't a big name (pre Pretty Woman)and didn't have any pull she went without shoes in many scenes.

I saw the Julia Roberts movie 'Mona Lisa Smile' a few weeks ago & I was VERY disappointed.
I don't recall seeing ANY barefoot scenes. There was only ONE scene where she was putting on her boots (She wa already wearing socks, I think), but it was off camera, so you don't SEE anything.. That was it as far as I can rememeber.
One of the FEW films she's made that did NOT have her feet in it sonmwehere.

While I agree she isn't the most beautiful woman alive, Julia Roberts IMO is far from a beast. She was cute as a doll in movies such as "Pretty Woman", "Mystic Pizza", and "Steel Magnolias".

well, if it weren't so cold here in OH I'd be barefoot year round too. Maybe Julia is like me and just HATES wearing Shoes! As it is, I wear shoes but no socks.

I'm going to see Mona Lisa Smile today, I think. In the promos, I keep seeing her in this tickling scene on the couch. can't wait. Although I'd rather see her leading man tickled.
