For those who do not know, we in west Tennessee were hit last night by several tornados. Fortunately none of my friends or family were hurt but several of my close friends lost their houses or had damage done. So keep us in your thoughts as we are going through this despairing time.

I am very sorry, but nature is to some a mother and to other it is a evil step mother... I hope all goes well in near by future for you...

My prayers and thoughts are with those lives affected by last night's storms...

Thanks to you both and all is going as well as could be expected. The toll could have been much worse so we are looking on the bright side. I have just learned that one of my good friends aunt was killed in the storm so thoughts and prayers are much appreciated.

You have my condolences. I heard about the storm on NPR. Horrid stuff.

We got funny weather up north as well. Unceasing rain, flood warnings and - thunder and lightning. In February. WTF?

I saw coverage on the news tonight.

good luck and God bless.

We've been through some bad tropical storms here ourselves, so I can truly sympathise. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the affected people of Tennessee as well.

I pray for your safety.

Though I don't feel sorry.

I don't care if you feel sorry or not. I would rather you didn't in fact, because feeling sorry doesn't get anything done or help anyone. Your prayers are appreciated.

I read that an 11-month old boy was found alive amidst debris, 100 yards from where his home previously stood, and in the same field where his young mother's body was found, somewhere in TN...

A small miracle amongst the tragedy...

I can really sympathize with you on this, as some of my family was hit by big time the other year. I wish you and your family the best during this time.

Well, all I can say is that I hope as little damage happens to those around you, and that I wish that as few people die as possible. Best of luck to you all... you're gonna need it.

A few pics of where my best friends house used to be. We were cleaning up and cutting timber but still have a long way to go.

Not that I am aware of. You might try red cross, they have been helping with the victims and giving aid.

the hollywood brother is always sad when he sees the evil destruction that mother nature leaves in its wake. what the hollywood brother do not understand is that on a discovery channel show they test a material used on bridges that gives it strength. what they did was they wrapped this material around a trailer and it seemed to work. i do not know why homes are not built with this material. if you want more info look up a show called smash lab.
