Man, anyone catch the latest trade possibilities? It is actually possible that Kevin Garnett could become a Los Angeles Laker. KG and Kobe? talk about title contenders!!!!!! If KG comes to the Lakers, that should put an end as to whether Kobe gets traded or not.

Mitch Kupchak, if you pull this off, you will save face, otherwise everyone will hate you even more.

Thoughts Laker haters?

As much as I hate the Lakers, I want to see Garnett succeed. Plus, I'm really tired of the Spurs and this would be another big obstacle for them to overcome. The Lakers better do what they can now because a new era will begin when the Trailblazers make their pick on Thursday.

the Lakers NEED to make this move if they hope to a) keep Kobe Bryant and b) to compete in the West.

With Greg Oden likely going to the Blazers and Durant going to the Sonics, the West is even tougher than it already is. The T-Wolves are looking to trade Garnett so they can rebuild, the Lakers desperately need a post presence.

Besides, who the hell wants to see the Spurs win?

Hey Fiend, who are the Blazers taking? I keep hearing they are high on Durant instead of Oden.

After the workouts they just had I think there was some question who they would take. Durant had the better workout and I still think they will take Oden but I wouldn't be shocked if they took Durant. Oden makes the most sense to pair with Roy.

KG and Kobe have the potential to be the most dangerous tandem in the NBA in years, if that trade happens.....I had high hopes for the Ming and McGrady duo in Houston, but that doesn't seem to be working as great as most thought it would.....

But you put the most lethally explosive offensive player, with a major chip on his shoulder, with the NBA's leading rebounder in K G, and that team should make some serious waves in the post season.....Garnett would kill for an NBA ring, and Kobe wants to make some post season noise to shut the mouths of the detractors who said he can't win a title without Shaq......you put some decent role players around those two, and no team would want to see the Lakers in a playoff series....

Hey Prime, you think we would even be talking about this potential trade if Kobe did not make his trade demand? Kupchak would have still been sitting on his ass next season, waiting for Bynum to grow up...... :illogical

Now maybe your diva hero can just shut up now and play ball, which is what he should be doing in the first place. He is not the GM, or in the office, just a player who should know his role, and shut his mouth.

You know, deep down inside, everyone knows he got rid of Shaq, because he didn't like the 2nd fiddle role, and now he finds out that was a MAJOR mistake, now he wants to whine. Poor. Little. Diva.

I hope the Lakers stay in the lottery for life, and Kobe never wins another title again

I know, N T, I know.... :idunno:

Here's some "Los Angeles Times" newspaper quotes about the "spoiled overpaid, inconsiderate, selfish" Laker...."the L A Times" sports writers called him all of that and more...

And in addition to the L A Times newspaper "hate fest", here are additional quotes from the "so called" Laker fans:

"He is a "crybaby"....he's not an "All Star"....he's a spoiled brat...his next contract should be with Gerbers baby food"...."somebody should give this kid a spanking"..

"One of the sports all time great crybabies"....a "glory hog"...

"Spoiled primadonna"

And yet, despite what all of the "haters" said about him, Magic Johnson is still one of the most beloved Lakers in history.....

You can't control what "haters" think about you, all you can control is your effort on the basketball court.....Kobe Bryant is the first player in the gym at practice, plays through injuries (unlike the beloved "play half a season" Shaq :cool2: ) and plays his ass off every game...if he did not, the haters would have something else to hate about him, so he can't slack off, which is cool with me, because I just want to see him play great history making basketball, just like Magic, who the "haters" also hated, but the true Laker fans made sure Magic's statue was placed in front of Staples Center..... :illogical

I saw on ESPN last night that Kobe already said that even if the Lakers got KG he still wanted to be traded.
