Knismolagniac symbol???

Hi Everyone! As you might guess, I'm a big fan of the neuron tree; however, I did have another thought I would like to share.

Some of the responses to the neuron tree have made the criticism that it's not quite specific enough, and it doesn't quite indicate a relationship between people. Meanwhile, many of the responses to other more "obvious" symbols have been that they are..well...too obvious.

I have thought of a possible compromise---what about a neuron KEY?

Initially I thought of the tree because it represents the upward growth of our community, but I think the idea of a key fits nicely with the neuron. Tickling does, in a sense, unlock sensation, does it not?

Hari's image could easily be modified so that the lower part of the neuron looked like an old-fashioned skeleton key. Food for thought I hope 🙂

some say no clear meaning then I would like to ask why does ll mean pause or a solid square mean stop even the symbol on your pc power button what clear meaning do they have! None they mean what they do cause we say they do

Here ya go 🙂

Il be honest, Visually, I dont like it as much at all, But I do like that it makes sensation the key to what we love.

As a side note, I think the Tree Symbol Does indicate a relationship between people in two ways with the circle in the middle. The relationship between lee and ler in that the one part of the symbol surrounds/consumes/takes control of the other whether it be in a loving sensual way or a torturous way. And also using the same logic as the BDSM symbol, The hole in the middle shows the missing part that the the other person would fill as you cannot do it alone. So I challenge that particular critisisms valididty! 😛 😀

I took the original pict of the neuron and made it black just to see what it looked like oh I also took the liberty to put the hole in it

that is an actual neuron lol what the tree that we are talking about is derived from

I am not artistic on the computer but what about a feather coiled in a tight circle like the one for bdsm.

Yes, I know. I meant what's it mean in correlation to the tickling symbol.

Is that supposed to say "tickling" ?

What is the symbolism, guy. The symbolism. 🙂

it's just a symbol for feeling or sensation like the neuron tree it has the sort of smiles like it but it also has what look like hearts at the base

I like all these new designs and ideas people are coming up with 🙂 For me, the front runner is still the "Very Happy Neuron" by Mephistopheles 😛 (That's Hari's neuron with 6 dots along the outside to make the curves look like little smiley faces. It's REALLY not as hokey as it sounds 😛)

I've been resisting saying this from the beginning. Perhaps it's just me and my background. But, the neuron tree composite has always reminded me of a monstrance (the vessel used to hold the Host for adoration in Catholic churches). Adding the hands makes that even more the case since many banners depict that image. lol Just an observation.

I do like the neuron tree, but think it needs more. Some ideas would be...

- adding Tom's "TMF" with wingdings is another idea, though I'd do TK, TKL or something generic like that rather than limitting it to the TMF since we want it to be inclusive and representive of tickling rather than of the forum. (For the record, I know that was just an example to illustrate the idea.)

- a smilie in the pattern could be a part of it but still doesn't necessarily mean tickling.

Here's an example of what I mean. The tree with the center hole enlarged a bit. A wingding TK in the center identifies the sensation simply. Add a big smile on top. Simple. For those who prefer a circle, I did that as well.

Ann and Skip are mad I tells ya 🙂😉

The dots are not good and look amateurish...IMO

Hahahahahahahhahahahahahah,

That smiley face makes us look like a retarded group!! hahahahahahahahaha

That would be so funny

hahahahahah

(or is it just me?)

I mean the above comment in the most respectful way possible. I think it looks very very funny.

I agree with ann and shambles sorry I said it before and I'll say it again I am not gonna get a tat of a smiley face. the hand in my sig yes and ann I thought the same thing with the church thing. the white host sits in the center.

How about changing the location of the smiley faces, while making the "smiley" aspect more discreet?

Check out the attached...

Ann, I find the smiley face on top of your rendition hilarious!

We should use the symbol the way Haribish originated it. For those who want hands, add hands; for those who want smiley faces, add smiley faces. As long as we all know what the universal tree symbol represents, agree???

:doublefinger: <------HEY, I AM GLAD SOMEONE FINALLY PERMITTED MY FINGER SUGGESTION.

Baby, don't be shy. Tell us what you really think. LOL

Knot, the overstated smilie is for that precise purpose. We're overstating things too much...as usual. A simple smilie (for those who may want to add it) would be more than enough.

I think it's time for eveyone to take a deep breath, clear heads and relax a bit. Then, we can continue more effectively. This SHOULD be fun. We're spazzing out too much. :woot2:

As biased as it might seem, I agree.

But there is way more time for this point to be proved wrong, and for a better symbol to be produced. Personally, I havent seen anything that I prefere more or that contains as much explainable meaning as the Neuron Tree, so my vote still lies with it.

I would absalutely love to see something that changes my mind tho, it should be as good as it possibly can be.

The question is, for how many people has that stage already been reached?

And for the others, what is really missing that we can work on?

and once working on those missing aspects, each new symbol really needs to remember to incluse what we have already managed to acheive,.

Difficult ey....?
