Kobe elbow to the face in game 4 puts Magic in a hole

Game is tied and Kobe gets doubled teamed and elbows Jameer Nelson in the face and to the ground and no offensive foul is called . Then he passes ball to Fisher who hits a 3-pointer . That no call completely changes the series and is really a shame.


Even Marc Jackson who is a huge Kobe fan called the non call ridiculous

It is just awful that the superstars play the game with a complete different set of rules than the other players. And I am certainly not accusing Kobe of intentionally elbowing him, but it is an offensive foul never the less.

With basketball, the pace is so fast that it's hard to catch every foul as it happens.

With football, being more evenhanded with penalties is more feasible.

The Magic lost this game because they can't make FREE THROWS. That's why they are in a 3-1 hole, not because of Kobe's elbow. Turkoglu misses 3 0f 4 in the stretch. Howard bricks 2 key ones towards the end of the game. FREE THROWS.

I watched the game. Nelson ran into the elbow as Kobe was lifting up to keep the ball from being stolen. It was not forced contact, nor deliberate. It was a good non call.

The Magic simply could not make the free-throws down the stretch.

I don`t care you wins the series as long as it is fair. The no-call was possibly a 5 point swing that put the game away . and as for free throws; yea they missed them, but at least the opportunity is there, Magic didn`t get the chance with a no call

Be honest , if that call was the other way and Orlando benefitted , you would be going ballistic, and with good reason I might add.

I want to see a good series. THAT went out the window with that call

If the Magic or the lakers let missed free throws determine the outcome, they deserve to lose. Lakers deserved the game 3 loss because Kobe missed free throws down the stretch. If the Magic make their free throws, the calls or non calls are likely a non issue.

And Dwight Howard would foul out of every game if he were named Andrew Bynum. As Mr Mac correctly asserts, stars get a pass, that's just the way it is. Nobody comes to a game to see second and third stringers play because the stars are on the bench in foul trouble or fouled out. The NBA would implode.
