latest NEST news.....

I just thought folks might like to know what's happening with NEST registrations.

So far, we have 84 people who have applied to join us this year. Of those 84, roughly half are new to NEST. So, we're very excited to see so much fresh blood.

This seems like a good point to remind folks that space is limitted. So, if you haven't already done so and would like to join us, please send us your application as soon as possible. We wouldn't want to miss getting to see/meet you, after all!

For those who've already applied, most of you should have heard back from us in some form at this point. We're going over the newer submissions and will be responding to those later today.

NOTE: Names are not added to the final guest list until all steps are completed...those steps being application and approval, final registration and payment. So, it's in your interest to act quickly.

Will we see YOU there? We sure hope so!

What about the newbies who used references, and they filled out the questionnaire. At what point do they find out if they are approved or should they email you again if they haven't heard?

Checking references takes some time, especially if your reference
hasn't returned our emails/phone calls, etc! For the moment, please
just be patient. If you have received a request for more information,
make sure that you get that to us as soon as possible.

We'll be letting everyone who has been approved know in plenty of
time for them to make hotel/travel plans.

I called the hotel and was transfered to the 800 #.When i mentioned the group they wanted a refrence #.No biggie,i have plenty of time.I just like to have all my ducks in a row.

Ill be there.....Ill be sending in the deposit once I take care of a few things, most likely in the next month, certainly by the end of April...I hope that aint too late.

The hotel group rate glich has been corrected as I discovered. I re-confirmed our room (that Melinda and I had reserved the week prior) from the com'l rate to the group rate and it sailed through. I love the way the hotel folks have it set up to -add- rooms as needed to the group reserves!
That is truly a wonderful deal. We'd been in on a much smaller scale dealing with blocking rooms at a hotel north of Baltimore back in '93 for a couple of kinky parties. The folks at our NEST hotel are really very responsive!

And the team of NEST organizers appears to be truly working their 'stuff' off in an impressive manner getting this year's gathering together. Any convention-festival-gathering of this (continually growing) size becomes a massive effort, and the "committee" should be lauded for all they're doing even at these early stages!

Hopefully, M and I will be able to start & finish building a new (and more sturdy) set of ankle stocks that we can tote up with us in June. Our ancient set, that M built in '92 finally met the ghost during our party here in Virginia in January. We're going to try copying the one's Francois had in his "Last Laugh" company videos. Having seen them up close and personal m'self there in delightful Ville de Quebec, I must admit they're about the sturdiest ones I've ever seen. Gotta get sawin' and sandin'.

Newbie to NEST here

Yes Sandee, I used you as a reference and haven't heard anything yet. It's been over two weeks since I filled out the on-line application. It would be nice to get some sort of e-mail feedback saying that the application has been received, just so I know I haven't been lost.

I know this all takes time. No one is making any money on this, it's all volunteers doing the work. I certainly appreciate all the hard work that goes into such a gathering.

Be sure to put in a good word for me Sandee! Save that neck for me! Hehehehe!

One more thing...

There may be people who have given references, but who
are already positively and well known by the organizers. In
that case, we'd likely just send you a confirmation letter.

Also, Ann who is in charge of most correspondence, is away
for a few days, and I expect a flurry of emails once she
returns. 🙂
