I gotta admit, i was a little skeptical since he hasn't really cranked out anything decent since his stint as a roadkill stunt double, but I was relatively impressed with it. It wasn't as good as his epics like It or The Stand, but it was much better developed than what I'd grown to expect from him., The characters weren't irritating and no matter how HARD I tried to make the book last, I still had it finished in a week and a half (surprised the hell out of me too, I refused to bring it home so I only read it on my 30 minutes of downtime at work a day until I couldn't stand it anymore).
The ending, while good, surprising, and suspenseful, felt a bit rushed but I imagine after 1000 pages any writer would just want to get it over and done with already. It's worth buying once it hits paperback, or borrowing from the library when it comes available. YAY.
The End.
