After i download a clip, i get a box that says i need to purchase a winRAR license. 😕

Do you have WinZip on your drive? That's what I use to unzip (and zip-up) files. It should be your default for unzipping these files. But even if it's not, you can right click on the file and select 'open with' WinZip. As per Ann's info, you can download a copy here: http://www.download.com/3000-2250-10003164.html

I think I split three files, and the rest just need to be unzipped to be played.

Hmmm...

For a couple of them, when I played them after unzipping, the screen is incredibly distorted. Am I the only one having this problem?

Since some people are having trouble playing these I converted them to .mpg and shrunk them to upload directly without the zip.
