Or it should really read Dr. Duvernay-Tardif.
He is a guard on the Kansas City Chiefs offensive line, a certified medical doctor and the first NFL player to opt out of the 2020 NFL season.
He opted out to use his medical degree to work with those suffering from the corona virus. While not on the level of Pat Tillman (RIP) foregoing his NFL career to join the army to fight after 9/11, it is a pretty heroic gesture non-the-less.
Now the NFL needs to do the right thing and reverse their decision to allow his jersey to read Duvernay-Tardif MD.
The award is well deserved. Congratulations!
