Is it difficult to go day to day when your bodies are so sensitive or does it only tickle if certain things are done like tickling finger motions. I mean I know it can be done because Ive seen ticklish people not drop in hysterics unless certain scratches, rubbing, etc is applied but are you lees just training yourselves or have you found yourself ready to laugh and have controlled it to avoid people staring.

it's like when you first put your clothes on. your nerve endings are "awake" and feel everything that is happening:fabric type, air hitting the body, etc. After a while though, they go back in "sleep" mode and you don't notice it. the same applies to tickling. when task-oriented,(bathing, working, etc you don't notice it because it's not forefront in your mind which is why a sudden attack of the fingers or even a blast of air makes one gasp, laugh, etc. hope this helps

i think it has a lot to do with mood, environment, and what is going on at that moment, and agree with Chicago there is a psychological element to it, for certain.

I think someone who is so ticklish that they can't stand clothes on their body, if they exist at all, would have some medical condition.
