This has become a big thing in the uk at present.

Small soccer team beats all the big teams to win the championship.

I dunno if there is something American I can equate this too- maybe a team who have never won a superbowl finally win one after all these years..

Leicester aren't my team, but it's a real feelgood story and they'll probably make a movie about it too!

I follow Manchester City, but, this is a real feel good story and I've found myself following it.

So much so that I DVRed the match between them and Man U. I was kind of disappointed that the match ended in a draw, but was elated when I heard that the Tottenham match also ended in draw giving Leicester the title.

The greatest scene was the team crowding around a TV waiting for the Tottenham outcome, kind of like an NCAA basketball bubble team waiting to see if they made March Madness.

What is interesting is that Leicester was a 5000:1 longshot for the title. In comparison, Valvano's NC State team was a 500:1 to win the 1983 NCAA championship, and the 1980 US Olympic Hockey team was 1000:1 longshot, so this was by far the greatest upset in sports history.

Congrats Leicester!!!

Fantastic achievement and a real 'two-fingers up' to all the complacent, fickle, arrogant, money-obsessed bigger teams who just sack managers willy-nilly.

Leicester's form has been great throughout and it's fully deserved. Really looking forward to watching them play in Europe and also next season's Premiership.

I'll be putting a little bit on Liverpool for next season I think.

I still can't stand yobbish supporters, prima donna players, the unjustifiable salaries of all involved etc etc but I do enjoy watching a game of football when it's a quality game.
