Well, this thread was inspired by a Christmas song my favourite radio station recorded for charity (have a gander if you want, it can be found at this address. youtube.com/watch?v=YI8hmvWNx9U). It got me thinking about our regional language and slangs like "Proper Job" and stuff you only typically here in the South West.
Most places in the world have their own regional language. A key example is, as most of the UK population here know, 'Bristolian'. 😛
A lil taster of Bristolian for ya. 😛
"Oo'ar, lookee 'ere. It's tha' gert lush guy from brizzle! BuddyBob! ee's lusher than cider flavoured wa'er!"
But yeah, feel free to enter the thread speaking your regional accent/language.
If you don't think you have a regional language, then try speaking in some sort of slang that you're fluent in, like:
- Gangsta
- Chav
- Stereotypical English (like in Austin Powers 3. 😛)
- 1337
etc.
Let's see how many different conversations we can get going. 😉
