I always knew it worked for me... but asking for it I hid. Not only did I not want my family to find out (who would?)- but I didn't need the bullies I had to deal with having something to use against me. (1st grade- 10th grade I had to deal with bullingevery single day.) When I found the word in the dictionary in school I use to hold it an inch away from my face so no one could come up behind me and see what I was looking at. And then having to always be scared someone would find out at home... (knowing always there would be moments in cartoons/ movies etc- and I never knew when to expect them to come... I was ALWAYS looking over my shoulder. There was no PAUSE button or close your laptop in those days. Even to the point of always making sure the sound was fairly low. ALWAYS. That's a hell of a way to live as a kid. ) I STILL turn down the volume till I practically can't hear the videos I watch. And I can barely watch videos with my own Bf. I turn away like I can't see it or something. Just like I did when I was a kid. Like I couldn't be held responsible for what was happening on the screen if my parents walked into the room. It's amazing how the word affects those of us with this fetish.
