One day a teacher had her students come one at a time to do a report something exciting that happened to them.
Finally it came to Little Johnny's turn. The teacher was a little hesitant to have him give his report, but called his name anyway.
Little Johnny came up to the front and made a white dot on the chalkboard. Then he went back to his desk.
Puzzled the teacher asked, "Why a period, Johnny?"
He shrugged. "Dunno. My sister said she missed hers last night. And mama fainted and dad had a heart-attack."
