Just say movie Logan last night and OMG it was amazing! Just a great Wolverine movie, very well done for his signing off to the greatest Wolverine ever. I suggest going to see this movie and I know you will enjoy it like I did.

Its got a good mixture of violence and sadness but it makes for a great last movie Doll, I high recommend you both go see it 🙂

Okay, I saw Logan today. The acting was wonderful and the cinematography was outstanding. One big issue though kept me from truly enjoying it though. The plot. There are major plot holes that are never explained whatsoever in this movie.

What happened to the other X-Men? Why did all the mutant except for Logan and Professor X die? Why are there no more mutants being born in the world? Why is Logan growing older? Why is Logan's healing factor not working anymore?

The movie never bothered to explain any of this. The setting was nice but they never bothered to explain how we got from the fixed timeline after Days of Future Past to THIS! Or maybe I missed something in the movie that explained all this more thoroughly?

Comic book movies are weird sometimes, while in there own continuity they still take from the comics. A lot of things are more understandable if you have read all the comics, granted this is the case for most films not all

For a start I believe it's heavily implied whenever they bring up "the Westchester Incident," that the X-Men were killed accidentally because Charles had a seizure in his advanced age and the psychic blast killed the X-Men. Logan survived because of his healing factor and Charles I think repressed the memory as well as can't remember do his deteriorating mental health.

They also said in the movie that the reason why no more mutants are being born in the world is because the mad doctor character played by Richard E. Grant created a form of super corn syrup which was then implemented as a sweetener in the world's food supply. It was marketed as just a cheaper sugar product but in reality it was a chemical that was specifically designed to eliminate the mutant gene hence why there are no new mutants being born.

They also said that the adamantium in Wolverine's skeleton being inside of him has been very slowly poisoning him over the decades and reducing his healing factor and now it's just finally starting to catch up with him.

I personally loved the hell out of the movie but I did find these elements depressing.

Ah, thanks dude. That clears up ALOT for me. I must have missed some of it when trying to listen to the dialogue. My hearing isn't the best so I don't pay absolute attention in a movie I end up missing a great deal of plot sometimes. 🙁

Yep, saw it last weekend and definitely recommend it. Amazing movie.
