London 2016 Olympics?

"Will it be London 2016? Capital could be set to relive 2012 as Rio preparations slammed by Olympic chiefs"

The previous Olympics cost the UK dearly, and is it even possible to relocate the Olympics to London on such short notice? Brazil was quite ballsy to take on both the World Cup and the next Olympics within two years of each other. Not surprising really that they're struggling with preparations now. Or maybe it's not quite their faut.

What's your take on this, guys?

Let's see how they get on with the world cup, worker deaths and delays, plus simmering tensions on costs make it a powder keg..

I Just hope they show sense and take the next one away from Qatar..

The IOC is leveling an empty threat to push Brazil along, I think. If I recall, it's not the first time they've done so.

But if they're going to make a change, they'll have to do it now while there's a chance. Even a recent host like London or Bejing might not be able to fully prepare in 2 years' time.
