It seems like in this clip the tickling is almost twice as long? I'm wondering if there's an deleted scene or something on a DVD that has the longer version of this clip.

The tickling only lasts about 3-4 seconds

In the clip I posted it lasts about 7-8 seconds, and it doesnt even include the beggining shoe removal.

the original tickling scene was cut down when they started releasing it for television. They do that a lot, trim movies to make room for commercials, and in this case we got really burned by it 🙂

is a re-worked advertisment for the original movie...I own the DVD...no difference

Bah! that's by far one of my favorite tickling scenes in mainstream media, why must they destroy what we love the most for those damn commercials!

I'm sure. The movie scene hasn't been cut for television, it's exactly as it's always been. The problem is that the original visual is deliberately cut short to show John Wayne's reaction while the laughter continues on for about as long as what we saw of the tickling. So we see only about half of the full tickling, by director's choice.

On the other hand, the entire tickling scene in ANGEL EYES has been cut from every TV broadcast I've seen.
