You have an historic negative NAO and a persistent east coast trough. Both look like it will stay most of the winter. I predicted the east coast getting average to above average snowfall this year even though its a La nina. Looks like its going to be colder and more snowy upcoming.

Shows that La Nina doesn't predict east coast weather well at all and that the NAO is really much more important. About 10 inches of wet heavy snow here, plow pile was ridiculous to move. Bring it on...I love this weather!!

I drove in the 4-5 inches of snow we got and lived. Now to drive back at 3 AM.

second 2 were around 420pm ... it snowed about another 3 hrs after that....

Not in my area..they said 12 hours of 2 inches per hour on average here...

We got only 9.1 inches in Central Park; much more fell further north. 😱

I hate snow.

I think we are going to get more snow on tuesday but i think its mixed with rain.
