Just need to look at ways to get what you need. Check out General Gatherings forum. Look for "munches" in your area as well as any upcoming gatherings close to you. The munches are great way to meet people & increase your odds. If going to spend money why not look at attending a gathering?

I attended Mich. gathering & was awesome.!! Plan on attending more once I get back to Calif here next month.
