loves tickling but not when tied up?

I recently brought up the topic of tickling to a close friend, which is huge in itself that I'm actually talking about it with others, but thats not the point.
They actually said they love tickling, the laughter, and reactions and they love and thinks its alot of fun. :woot2:
I figured by the way they talked they were more of a ler than a lee and did not enjoy being tickled that much. <<<<----

Then I made up some funny story just to get to my next question, I said I was with my friends and somehow got all wrapped up like a mummy in a blanket and they all started to tickle my feet. Interesting way to bring up the tied up part huh? :clap:

But then the opinion changed about tickling. Suddenly, the whole tickling thing was so wrong and seemed like worse the murder. They said they would never tickle someone like that, that it wouldn't be fun anymore for both the ler or lee.
I even asked what if they were just the ler, still the negative reaction and all.

Anybody else come across this? Love tickling, but not tied up tickling?
Are some people too nice to tickling someone if they are tied up?
 
I guess it all depends on how you view tickling.
A lot of people on the TMF, from what I've gathered, like bondage, too. But I think that is because we are all here to talk about tickling and like to experiment more with it since we love it so much.

I could totally see that. They feel it's unfair and cruel since they don't like tickling like we do. They view it as torture, while most of us view it as fun.

I've talked to some people on here though that love tickling for the pure fun of it and restraints is never an option for them.
Me personally, I think being restrained gives a sense of excitement and makes you more vulnerable and more ticklish .. so I'm all for that! But there are definitely times when I just like to play around and not be restrained, too!
 
I understand their point of view very well. Of course I don't share it, but I totally understand! 🙂

Just about everybody thinks that tickling is fun when you are not tied down, it's playful, people laugh...it's fun!

It stops being fun when you can't fight against it! When you are helpless and get tickled, that's when it's torture. And liking torture to most people is - understandably and thank God! 🙂 - very weird and wrong!
 
I can see where your friend is coming from and it makes sense. It is not that strange or bizarre. While yes I do enjoy and I do love the playful element of bondage being incorporated in tickling-there are times I do like to be playfully and lightly tickled without being restrained at times-there is nothing like a really fun lengthy tickle fight and tickle wrestling is a lot of fun too at times in the spontaneity and lightheartedness of the moment. Also there are times I love to be tickled while restrainted-just depends on my mood. Sometimes I like to be tickled without restraints and nother times I dig being restrained. Just depends. It varies it never stays constant, always changes depending on mood.

Maybe your friend did not have a positive first experience with being playfully restrained when tickled or had a very bad negative experience. What might help is to have a nice heart to heart chat with your friend and try to find out what your friend fears and then reassure your friend you will not do anything she would find offensive or hurtful, only want to hear her laugh and feel good not hurt her. That might help just don't push it and take it slow. Hope that this helps and also have her give you some safe words when she feels ready to venture on to tickling while restrained. you could try tickling her without restraints, build foundation that way-she could eventually over time want to be restrained however she might be one that don't want to be restrained while tickled. best luck with this.

I think if you take it slow and gentle and playfully tickle her and keep the tickles respectful and light and tickle her in the ways she feels comfortable and don't push for bondage when tickling her-I believe this could help tremendously-help establish a good foundation and a great trust and comfort level. My guess is that there was not an experience with being tied and tickled at all! Most people freak out just about the thought, and rightfully so! 🙂 Not everybody likes it like we do! 🙂
 
Just must be done right. The restraints must not become the dominant sensation. You have to trust the one restraining you as well, makes for a good experience.
 
Well I like both sides of it. For me the restraints are so I can't stop the tickle sensation, the attempt to fight it off is involuntary and sometimes irritating. But I wouldn't jump into that situation blindly. If the ler was a homicidal femme fetalle, then I would not like the idea of restraints.
 
Some friends of mine wouldn't even tolerate restraints if they didn't get tickled! Being helpless just makes a lot of people very uncomfortable.
 
She may have assumed that the lee wouldn't like it, and so you'd be tickling that person against his or her will. That wouldn't be fun for alot of people here. If you ever bring it up again, mention that the lee would be loving it 🙂 Then she might change her mind.

"Everyone", as in 'the majority of the population', doesn't think tickling is good at all and will look at you really weird if you mention being tied up during doing so!

Ihave to trust the person who ties me up.. for I am a 12 on scale of 1-10 on beeing ticklish... it is a love /hate for me. and to not be able to get away.. it makes it even worse.. So trust is a huge thing for me
 
I think it's pretty natural that you have to trust someone you let tie you down...even if the person DOESN'T tickle you! 🙂
 
Thats more a promise than a threat, I fortunately belong to those rare few who actually do like being tickled while tied. :boogie:
