m/m tickling - guys, is it gay?

It can be gay, not nearly as much as its said to be tho. It really does depend what theyre doing, theres a pretty noticable difference between sexual tickling and tickling for fun.

And if it IS gay and its a sexual scene, then as we all know there plenty of sexual f/f scenes going on that are blatently very lesbian. but Lesbians are far more accepted then gay males. niether are any less appropriate than the other.

Like with most things, it really does depend, Some m/m can be gay and some isnt, however such a large portion or us frown on anything thats gay and will jump at any opportunity to bash it that it will always get a negative responce by some closed minded person. And any f/f, be it lesbian or just for fun will always get a free pass cause thats just the way things are. Its unfair but itl never change.

F/F is good! M/M is bad!

Let's hear it for double standards!! Woo-hoo!

While I don't necessarily agree with them. Feelings are feelings. Most guys feel it crosses the line. Many even feel threatened by the mention. This is why all M/M sites are on a seperate page in my links directories on the site. This way, everyone can simply relax.

i dont feel it's gay i feel it's just tickling..whay can a f/f tickle and noone says anything about it other then GREAT AWSOME SO IT AGAIN!!! if it's m/m..it's EWWW GAY.. YUCK!!! i mean people who like cartoon tickling and don tortelli..well he tickled a male and a young boy BUT tickled april o neil

The times, they are a changin'...

Give it maybe 30 or 40 years, and hopefully society will become more tolerant of differing sexualities.

I hope your right, but i cant see it myself :rotate:

Okay, here's my take.

Tickling is an action. Actions aren't gay. People are. So the question becomes one of association. Do you as a guy <em>associate</em> tickling with sex. If you do, then you're likely to associate M/M tickling as <del>gay</del> homoerotic and F/F tickling as hot. It may be a double standard but it's a legitimate and understandable one.

A long time straight male friend of mine named Dave gets no thrill in tickling or being tickled. Nonetheless, he regards M/M tickling as <del>gay</del> homoerotic. Why? Because the parallels to erotic behavior are too close for comfort. A man touching another man in an intimate and personal way to elicit a response of pleasure. It's not something straight guys are generally inclined to do, whether or not they get a thrill from tickling.

i would probably try it, but not for the gay side (i don't think it has to have a gay side) just for another tickling experience.

I dont necessarily think M/M tickling automatically makes you gay, but i do think it might suggest youd be open to it, or perhaps your bi. either way, M/M tickling makes you a bit fruity at the least.

Thank you. That's what I was trying to say but you said it so it made more sense. 🙂

Actually, the first question is flawed. M/M is not gay. It's just tickling. Drew has a very good point about each individual's association with it.

It's different and maybe still out of the norm, but I don't see it as gay. I mean, contrary to popular belief, it actually isn't different in any way from F/F tickling. It's people of the same sex tickling each other. F/F tickling is two people of the same sex tickling each other. If the only difference is the genitalia, then it's not really different. Seems to me that a lot of guys aren't too secure in their manhood.

I totally agree. I have freinds who are lesbians and those who are gay.. actually gay men are the best frriends and I would feel comfortable dressing in fromt of them knowing they are not getting turned on by seeing me naked. I have had a gay freind help me dress before.. they have the best taste in clothing actually.

Tickling in an of itself is not gay. A male tickling a male or a female tickling a female makes neither person gay. Much of thios is personal feelings towards the subject. As many people have pointed out, tickling is sexual for them, so they associate it with sex, and because of that, their sexual preferences set the limits for what they enjoy and are comfortable with. It's perfectly understandable, but a lot of people need to realise that their own preferences/comfort zones are not the same as others.

The ignorance in this thread is very apparent.

M/M tickling can be gay, just like M/M wrestling... just cause two guys are touching each other doesn't make them gay. But they could be... maybe they just enjoy the actual activity... Then again, they could very well be gay.

I myself don't mind M/M tickling at all. I have done it, and I am aroused by tickling. TICKLING; IT'S AN ACTION. I am sexually aroused by the action. Doesn't mean I want the guy jerking me off while he is tickling me... definitely not.

I am very into women, I don't think about having sex with men AT ALL! I am just looking for a service, men and women can both offer this service.

Truthfully, I don't give a fuck if the guy is gay either, as long as he respects my sexuality.

Some people make me sick with their ignorance.

From my experiences...

Say two guys were to kiss... all the guys that aren't gay, and those that are but in the closet, will ridicule those guys. Even the girls will make fun of them and say it's disgusting.

When two girls kiss, all the guys watch and love it, and all the girls for the most part don't have a problem with it, and if it's a joke, they're laughing. It's the same thing in the fact that girls can kiss each other and have it just be for fun, as well as tickle each other.

Two guys are never going to kiss each other for fun. So...

But two straight girls will? Seems a bit hypocritical.

Really i suppose it depends on the two peoples opinons of what fun is. For example, making a bunch of guys react like total homophobes and have childish reactions that show thier lack of maturity could be viewed as fun by some people.

I think this has to depend a lot on the person and situation. Much like f/f, it can be completely harmless and mean nothing between two girlfriends. I have had many occasions where I've had another girl tickle me, and while I prefer guys, it doesn't neccessarily bother me when a girl does it. I view m/m in the same way. For example, a VERY straight male tickled another guy today at school, it was very innocent and he was just goofing around. He is by no means gay, and he didn't mean it in that way. I think if it's playful, it doesn't have to be gay.

I agree. It seems kinda like girls, in general, don't think much of two guys tickling eachother in a friendly innocent way, whereas most guys (not all - I know a few here feel differently) seem to think that two guys tickling eachother, or doing anything intimate together, is gay. I guess I just don't quite get why guys tend to feel that way. But I guess it's just how it is nowadays.

Yeah they will, and I've seen it. The hypocritical aspect was the whole point of my post.

INTERESTING ...

I'm guessing the only reason why we've gotten as many solidly 'yes' replies as we have (though albeit relatively few) is because the forum in which the OP's question was posed happened to be a tickling fetish forum. Like so many have said before, it's only gay if the two guys tickling each other are in to each other.

My friends tickle each other all the time but it's just me and one other guy who register as bi-curious. Otherwise, it's completely horseplay. There's all sorts of contact involved in UFC and you'll only get as many comparable 'yes' votes if you asked this question in a wrestling fetish website (which I'm sure probably exists).

It looks like the two biggest groups are the ones that say YES it's gay and the ones that are upset by the Yes answers.

I agree with those who have stated that it's more a matter of what is "socially acceptable" rather than what is "gay." Assuming, for the sake of argument (I know a lot of you claim to be into a more playful platonic form of tickling), that the tickling in question is sexual in nature in the sense that it leads to arousal in at least one of the participants, then f/f tickling IS technically just as "gay" as m/m tickling. The difference is in the way it is accepted by the more "mainstream" (for lack of a better term) tickle enthusiasts. Blame socialization or whatever, but women are definitely more prone to be openly affectionate, or at least comfortable enough interact with other women in a more affectionate manner. Guys are either not into it, or they tend to hide it. Plus, many of the guys here are into the f/f stuff because much of the material produced portrays beautiful women engaged in an activity that features prominently in their own sexuality. I know I'm generalizing here, but ask any man off the street if they would mind watching two hot women make out and I bet I could give you a fairly accurate answer as to their response. But it seems the majority of us guys have no desire, or frankly, really any need to interact affectionately with any other guys, and I think this applies to many tickle fetishists/paraphiliacs/whatever as well.

I guess it is sort of hypocritical for guys to have this attitude, but I'm really not sure what to do about that. That doesn't mean that I can't appreciate the fact that much of the m/m media out there is pretty impressive and the work of talented individuals, and I hope the general sentiment I'm expressing (and others in this thread) do not dissuade those writers and producers from presenting it here, because there definitely is a market and I'm glad many here are supportive of the diversity. But when it comes down to it, we are all the way that we are. Back to the original point of this thread, I know it's been said over and over, but I don't look down on anyone who does engage in m/m activites, but this is a big part of my sexuality and I would no more engage in tickling with another man than I would make out with him. Basically, of course it's "gay," and for many guys that makes it uncomfortable.
