m/m tickling..why the stigma?

Maybe it's just the act of tickling itself that is a turn on, regardless of who the ler/lee is? If you go into all the technicalities of a fetish, I'm fairly certain that's what it says. So it's not the guys pecs or hair or abs or thighs that are causing the woody, it's the act of tickling in itself.

I agree that for most men there is a sexual aspect to tickling and so it can be more difficult for a male to share that with another male.

I also wonder if there is a difference for men to allow themselves to be open with another guy. Especially when it comes to leeing for a guy.

I think it's because men think lesbians are hott and they think gay guys are disgusting and some girls think being gay is disgusting either way

I'm a straight guy. I am not into M/M. Now as for the line of thought that I would consider myself interested in guys if I liked M/M is nowhere near true. It just does nothing for me. I'm just not wired to find it enjoyable.

I could not physically tickle a guy. I've had the chance and I passed on it. It's needs to be coupled with a female somehow.

I like tickling... I like women. The two work very well together.

Now I don't see myself as hypocritical for liking F/F as I enjoy the artistic beauty of the female form. Two works just as well as one.

ticklu2deth - You've got guts for revealing as much as you did in your excellent posting.

The other postings here are pretty edifying too.

I love being tickled by a woman (none of my girlfriends thus far have been ticklephiles, gosh darn it, save for one otherwise non-ticklephile who nonetheless liked to stroke my back with her long nails. That was sweet!).

Gay or not gay, they've done studies (and by "they" I mean some people I once heard about from my Psychology prof at a different school, so I assume, wizards?) that reveal something hardwired into people, regardless of orientation, that would rather have us see two guys punching each other than kissing.

I wonder if anyone would watch Gay Boxing? ;P

Well, I'm glad I don't wall into that category.

two guys kissing can be hot.

A lot of the straight women I know from the Brokeback forums love watching two guys kiss/make out. They often post pics of it, calling it "boy touching", even though it's always adult males in the image.

the hollywood brother thinks that many memebers of the male species thin kthat any phyiscal interaction with another male is a bad or gross thing. this is why guys do not usually like to tickle other guys. women seem to be beyond this and more advanced. the reason the hollywood brother say this is because a woman can tickle another women and not think that she is a lesbian. for most men they think it is less manly or less machismo to tickle another man. also if a man gets a hard on during a tickle seesion with another man, it might blow his mind.

now with this being said the hollywood brother has no problem with male to male tickling. while it is true that the hollywood brother has never done this the hollywood brother do not think that it makes a man a sissy or any other bad name. the hollywood brother thinks it is just something that is inbreed into men to think that they are less macho but it is just that this is the way some men think. the hollywood brother would be open to male on male tickling and thinks that guys need to loosen up and not worry about the macho or machismo crap. Besides the hollywood brother is like the razor ramon in that the hollywood brother oozes machismo. also the hollywood brother do not think that a man is less of a man if he is inot tickling with another man

I think a lot of this is very much a social stigma. We are still dealing with a lot of issues regarding equal rights for gay couples (Prop 8, for example) which means that there is a lot of social ramifications for being gay and a lot of stigmas to follow it. No different than what we dealt with during the 1950's/60's for African Americans.

I think that is essentially true here. I will tickle damn near anything that responds to it, or write about it, or whatever I feel like doing. I don't consider tickling to be automatically a sexual thing (though it can turn into that), but even if it was I would still be open to it. It really doesn't affect me like it does others, I certainly see nothing 'sick' or 'disgusting' about it.

Hopefully, in the larger picture, these issues will one day be things that we tell our grandchildren that 'our society doesn't think that way anymore'. When that happens, we won't have to wonder if something 'is gay or not' as if there is something wrong with it.

I think Jester's right about a lot of that.

In regards to F/F, I like it. But when I first started watching/reading tickle vids and stories, I initially really didn't want to see women being tickled. I really wanted to see F/m, but it was hard to find, so I had to settle for what was available, so I learned to like F/F. For personal reasons, I have a hard time watching M/f. I can appreciate why others, men and women, enjoy it, but seeing a woman being overpowered by a man can make me uncomfortable.

In any case, as an avid slashfic reader and writer, I love M/M and F/m and I wish there was more of it. Also it seems only fair to represent the interests of women and gays in the community.

It is understandable for a woman to feel uncomfortable with m/f if the aggressor is overpowering and basically raping the 'lee. That brings us back to the whole rape thread. I think there are many people who do not like that facet of tickling no matter who the 'lee and 'ler happens to be. I do have to say that aspect of tickling is not confined to m/f it does run across all formats. There is much m/f which is of a consenting and fun nature.

Now getting back to m/m. Reading the comments there really isn't a stigma associated with it. I think that the lack of stories is the result of a lack of demand on one part and a lack of authors to write them. There's certainly no prohibition of them by TT. So if you want to see them request them of the writers or start writing yourself. That is the only way you'll find a redress of the deficiency.
