I'm not technically savvy. So I wonder how are tickle scenes from movies and tv shows converted into vid clips that can be downloaded over the internet. And are all types of media (dvd, vhs, dvr) convertable or just certain kinds?
 
I believe the site http://www.virtualdub.org/ will answer all your questions. I have been using the software for some time now and it works well up to the screen resolution my system can handle. Any more would be overkill anyway for my source material.

For a cost of nothing (I already had a TV/Video card) it's one of the most cost effective programs I have. I have not gone further than the process of capturing to avi files as I'm not really interested in compressing down to real, wmv or other.
