Howdy folks.

I'm a bit of a comic book journeyman and often spend long hours pouring coffee down my throat and flipping through ancient comic books online. I have trouble sleeping, so it's one way to pass the time.

I've even made a bit of a game out of finding tickle scenes (panels?) in obscure comics between the 1950s and early 00s. I've even developed a process of deduction that I'll share later in the post.

Anyway, I'm posting this here so that I can keep it updated with my various discoveries. I'll post a few I've already found shortly. These will not include manga because 1) I don't read manga. 2) The guys over at the huge anime thread are already whoopin' ass and taking names.

I'm not even particularly fond of tickling art, but I do enjoy the satisfaction of choosing the right book based on my series of inferences, which I will outline as follows. Maybe you'll find use for it too!

You are more likely to find a tickling scene in a comic if:
1. It's a comedy (tickling as a gag, nobody did it better than Yoly)
2. It's a comedy with a leading lady or prominent female character (older books weren't keen on violence towards women, so tickling as substitute)
3. It's an action/adventure with strong comedic elements (tickling as substitute for sex and violence)
4. It's a romance (for obvious reasons, though I've never read one myself so this one is just a guess)
5. The comic book art suggests whimsy.
6. The artist is barely concealing their rabid foot fetish (not always tickling related, but it is great seeing an artist really go wild with their foot illustrations)
7. It's a MATURE comic.
8. It's Italian, for some reason.

Okay, that's me done for now. I'll post my first few discoveries in the morning and will keep this thread updated forevermore or until I succumb to my injuries. Feel free to post your own findings as well by the way - I forgot to mention that.

I'm curious to see what you have found. You make it sound like you have some entries that are not really known around here. So I'm cautiously optimistic. Also where do you search for comics and how do you sift through quickly?

Yep I've already got a handful that I'll share as soon as I get back on my laptop. Honestly, nothing earth-shattering, but none of them have been posted before. That's a promise.

You can find lots of comics online via the Internet Archive and some other sites that host out of print stuff. As for reading speed, I tend to burn through them when I've got enough coffee in me and am certain I'll find a scene in a particular series.

Here's a */M I found last week from Beetlejuice no#1. Not into /M myself, but this is just a recent find.

I'm speedrunning a series called "Empowered" at the moment, an indy comic about a busty blonde superheroine who spends most of her time wrapped up in bondage, so that may yield us some good-goods.

From Dollface #9.

Not great, but perfect is the enemy of the good.

Sleep tight knowing that I am out there, vigilant, always hunting down crap like this.

Hi folks,

Long time no update, but only because I haven't been reading many comics lately.

To honour the late, great Sam Keith, who sadly passed away on the 15th of this month, I decided to have a root through his works and I found some interesting bits.

Most of you will already be familiar with an actual tickle scene that takes place in The Maxx (I think), wherein a character admits that his girlfriend has a tickling fetish and "needs feathers" to enjoy herself.

Now what I've found isn't a tickling scene, but rather a missed opportunity. I've read through issues 1 - 5 of Sam Keith's Zero Girl, and found that a huge plot point is the titular heroine's odd feet. When she experiences shame or embarrassment, her feet produce a psychoactive liquid. It seems like Keith's work is riddled with feet and fetish stuff, so we may be able to dig up a long lost tickle scene from one of his more obscure books yet.

Leave it with me, friends. I won't let you down.

Here's an oldie but a goodie. I haven't seen it around these parts in a long time, so please enjoy this cute little scene from Army of Darkness: Ashes 2 Ashes #1.

Groovy.

Hopefully you're fine with me adding my own contribution, but I found this recently in the Darkwing Duck/Gargoyles crossover comic.
