Mairead's Music. Part Deux.

Never heard of any of 'em.

Dedicate a Mairead's music installment to Metal for me, damnit. 😀

If its metal your after, mind if I weight in with a few new bands Ive discovered recently...

Seeing as you cant answer that Im just gonna tell you anyway

Evile - Thrash as f*ck eighties-obsessed Yorkshire lads

The More I See - Great riffs, sort of a cross between Metallica and Exodus, and includes an ex-member of the Prodigy, oddly

Airbourne - not strictly metal, but if AC/DCs your thing these are the closest thing to

3 Inches of Blood - Not exactly a new band, but Ive got a feeling theyre gonna be big soon...essentially Iron Maiden type riffs mixed with screamo...plus the lead singer's first name is Cam Pipes, and pipes he has!

Sanctity - Not heard much from these guys but what I have heard makes me wanna mosh! Very Trivium!

Hope these help!

Nice choices Miss Hall

Very eclectic and diverse.

Haven't heard of the last one.

I like the mash-up of styles in bands like GB.

Do you read Spin or Blender or something like that?

New music keeps it fresh, like Tupperware.

How about some internet radio/streaming suggestions next time?

You gotta love Gogol Bordello. My friend schwem (himself an established "carny" and self-proclaimed gypsy) originally got me into them, and has introduced me into some quite eclectic bands since such as Vic Thrill and I'm a Robot.

And I have always had a special place in my heart for Flogging Molly. There is no better music to drink to. Ahhhhh I remember my first Flogging Molly show. They were at the Warped Tour a few years back and I got plowed over in the pit by an enormous man in a striped polo t-shirt (who somehow ninja'ed out of there cause I could not find him when I got up) and had my face stepped on. Good times 😎

Spoon is quite good, I was fortunate enough to see them on tour a year or so ago. Gimme Fiction is an outstanding disk, not one bad song on it. If you like good indie rock check out a band called "And You'll Know Us By The Trail Of Dead", another excellent band from Texas.

Never heard of any of 'em.

no better music than metal, i know. Dragonforce, Metallica, and Nightwish are among my favorites.

Stars sounded good, but I think it was the hypnotic beeping sound. If there even was a beeping sound, I'm a little messed up right now
