Marcus Vick

Does anyone know much him. I have only watched one of his games and that was last season. I thought be played pretty good and looks to be a better QB then his brother. His throwing action looks more clean and he tends to look at his passing options longer then his brother before he decides to run.

Also when I mean better QB I mean decision making and throwing action, Michael Vick is a freak of a player one of a kind and his brother has nothing on him when it comes to that.

Has anyone got more knowledge on him, I know about the legal issues but that has seemed to have died down in recent times. He looks to be a player Mr Davis would gamble on, last year the talk was Maurice Clarett and I thank Denver for taking him before the Raiders, look how he turned out. But Marcus seems to have the game but would like to have others opinions on him.

He was expelled from Tech after several incidents. He throws more accurately than his brother, but they would have to seriously dumb down the playbook for him in the NFL because he just isnt very bright.

I havent seen him on draft boards going anywhere until the late, late rounds. I dont think he will be drafted at all. The Raiders have not drafted a QB in 10 years; this will not be the season they draft one.

Agreed, I think the Raiders are sold for now on Brooks and Walter if he develops, I simply dont think drop back passes suit the receivers the Raiders have; just look at Moss with Culpepper and Porter with Gannon then look at the Collins days back on topic I dont think he will be drafted any higher then the 5th round if at all as you said.

On the draft; I think Huff might be a logical choice plus Mr Davis does like players with awards and titles.

I dont think Marcus Vick should be drafted at all. But someone will take a chance on him. There is a huge diffrence in the troublemaker/ability Marcus Vick has shown and the troublemaker/ability Clarett showed before Denver wasted a 3rd round on him last year..and I think a lot of teams noticed how that didnt work out. Not to mention there are so many QB's with better stats than Marcus Vick...heck many QB's comming out this year alone had a better single season than Marcus Vick had in his entire carrer.

207 out of 346 (59.7%) 2868 yards 19 TDs 15 INTs 36 sacks....
187 rushing attempts...482 yards 6 TDs.

Those are his carrer numbers...honestly they are pathetic and shouldnt garner a 7th round pick. Barely a free agent invite to a camp. But just because his last name is Vick someone is going to give him a chance. Although his numbers reflect an average player...not good enough for the NFL.

OK, wow I didn't realise that he had such poor numbers. The game I watched he must of got most of it. Yeah I just picked a random QB in this upcoming draft; D J Shockley out of Georgia - his numbers just this season were better. Sad thing is that as Robace252 said because his name is Vick he will get more of a shot then players that deserve it more.

Well I watched Mel Kyper yesterday on one of ESPN's daily draft specials and they asked about Marcus Vick specifically and Mel Kyper said he expects Vick to go in the 5-7th rounds, but they wouldnt be surprised if he went on the first day. So as far as I can tell this rumor is false.
