Marina is an original character created by the legendary artist Khali (AKA PsylisiaDragoon), with whom I collaborated extensively in the past, during my "Will Georges" period (those of you who watch me on Deviantart will know what I mean). One such collaborations was a six page mini comic featuring Marina and another character named Necra -it was meant to be the starting point of another space opera saga but never got any further than that.
However, recently I was looking at some of the artwork of that era and it got me thinking how vibrant and colourful Khali's characters are. My own art can do with a splash of colour sometimes, so here's a little homage to Marina, combined with my own love for evil machinery. I'm actually quite pleased how this one turned out, and I'm definitely doing more of these character re-interpretations. Got my eye on Adara next... 😉
