Marines are Navy???

The term "nuke" can be a general reference to a Navy nuclear propulsion specialist. But "a real nuke" (perjorative) is the guy who considers the submarine to be nothing more than a drag-reduction fairing on the front of the reactor. In other words, someone who has lost sight of the reason he's in the Navy, which is to use the submarine to engage and destroy this country's enemies.
