I was thinking, if the TV execs are pissed that neither the Cubs or Red Sox made it to the series this year, they will try harder to make it happen next year? because you really don't think Marlins/Yankees series is gonna generate ratings do you?

Yeah the tv execs are mad, I am totally disinterested in the World Series so I won't be watching.

I was proud of my boys and they will be back.

The best ratings would have been sucked in by Boston vs Chicago.
Marlins/Yanks will get zip by comparison and FAR less than expected. Definitely way less than would have Cubs/Sox.

Let's just say 2004 and the Cubs coming back isn't a wise bet. Wiser bet? President Bush doing the State of the Union address in January dressed in baggy pants, a Sean John sweatshirt and a Texas Rangers cap on backwards. Wiser bet? Gary Coleman getting caught by papparazzi coming out of a Motel 6 room with Catherine Zeta-Jones. Wiser bet? Any of the endless sea of morons demonizing Steve Bartman for going after that fly ball admitting that, if in the same situation, they wouldn't have reached for it as well.

Wanna live longer? Spare your heart, and don't give more than a passing glance to the Flubbies or even both sets of Sox in '04. You'll feel better from following this advice.
