Usually they are a mark of excellence. 😀
During World War II, though, a gold star displayed on a family's service flag meant that they had a son who was killed in action.
Some here take offense at inside jokes,feeling that they are being excluded from something.Its not meant that way far as i know.Its only natural that people who have known each other for some time are going to exchange such jokes and banter.

Nobody needs to know everything about everything. I'm not trying to start something. Just putting my feelings on it. I only have 150 posts, this might make 151. At any rate i felt kinda like an outsider. Then i started posting in threads got responded to and have been accepted (at least i hope lol).
Anybody that talks about "exclusives" or feels excluded hasn't tried to include themselves into anything yet.

It didn't come off like that at all. I just figured to add my two cents into what you said. There are people who feel excluded and like there are little clicks, yet some of those people who feel like that do nothing about it.
