This video has very misleading and sometimes false information, not only that but you can clearly see he's just trying to scare people into passing around the video to gain views on Youtube which equals money in his pocket, since he's a partner, and to push out his political biased on people by falsely accusing the current administration of actually setting this up so they can arrest every single person that's ever used Megaupload, then continues to bash the Obama administration for everything that's happened to the few cases he's linked, spoiler alert, the very first one he talked about happened during the bush administration, and even then it had nothing to do with them. This has absolutely nothing to do with who's in office right now. He's just trying to stick his political views down your throats. He's very well known across Youtube for using scare tactics into getting people to pass around his video. I feel really bad for anyone that's actually believe him and started to freak out about downloading files to Youtube. You're safe, your money is safe and you're not going to prison. Don't let some nut fool you into thinking that.

If you downloaded, you can claim that you had the original.

Millions of people used that website EVERY SINGLE DAY. The man power it would require to chase down all of them is far more than this country has to offer with everything else going on.

The shutting down of Megaupload is ridiculous. What's next, Rapidshare, Sentfile, Sonicfile, Hitfile, Dropbox, Mediafire~ Megaupload just holds files. Anyone can upload them and then be shared. There are SO many sites that do this. They pop up like it's nothing, because they don't do anything illegal in concept. I don't even know how legally MU is down. It makes no sense to me. Megaupload, like Youtube and other sites, takes down videos that get DMCA notices, or requests by authors to take them down. That's all they can do. How can a site like Youtube work, and stay up under that policy, but a site like MU gets singled out? It's not even an American website. I thought the entire reason we shut down SOPA, was so things like this CAN'T happen.

Music blogs (one of the primary users of Megaupload) feature MP3s and FLACs of out of print recordings. Technically that might be considered copyright infringement. But are they are performing a public service to people who can't afford to pay 3 figures on Ebay just to hear a now-collectible recording?

The guy in the video obviously doesn't understand US Copyright Law. The reason the music industry ever tried to sue individuals was to scare them, not to make any of their "losses" back. A typical lawsuit can cost $500,000 to $1,000,000 to bring to court; and, doing that with 25% of the internet would be impossible.
