Melissa was last in the stocks two years ago, and she decided it was time to come back and take her medicine. This time, I put her in the stocks face down and tied her big toes to the bottom of the bed and laced the satin cord inbetween the rest of her long, long toes and to the cleats at each side.
I know from her previous experience that her weak spot is inbetween her toes, so I started out there with a pair of paintbrushes, and I started taunting her a little while I did it. One of the things I love about her is that even though she's being tickled, she can answer questions through her giggles, and she talks about how, in acupressure, there is a part of the foot next to the ball called "bubbling spring." And through her laughter, she blurts out, 'AND YOU'RE MAKING ME BUBBLE!!"
When I'm raking the pointy end of a quill across the arch of her foot while dragging the soft end of another feather between her toes, you can see her shoulders shake from laughing--and then it won't be long before she starts off into the odd squeaks and animal noises she makes when she's REALLY being tickled!
