When I heard that the "Poker Face" singer would sing with my favorite heavy metal band, I thought it was such a bad idea. I like Metallica very much but I absolutely cannot stand Gaga. The idea of them performing together was puzzling to me, to say the least.

And yet... somehow it worked. It was hands down a great performance. Gaga rightfully ditched her usual "weird-glam" (for lack of a better word) style for a much more appropriate (and damn sexy!) punk look, simple and elegant. She could have been the sexy and sadistic girlfriend to a Mad-Max-style gang leader in an 80's movie. She also showed some damn good moves, thereby proving that she can do better than "sing" heavily autotune-laced choruses. Full credit to her for taking this big risk, because Metallica's fanbase do not necessarily welcome her with open arms and vice versa. Remember the hate when Eminem and Marilyn Manson made a duo? I cannot speak for her "monsters" as I believe she calls them, but as a Metallica fan she has completely won me over. To the point that I wish she will do more heavy metal in the future: the gal's got talent and she clearly enjoyed doing what she did at the Grammys.

Even that mic issue ended up a happy coincidence: she and Hetfield singing together was awesome and made for a great picture. Congratulations to her!

It says it's unavailable. I guess I wasn't fast enough. I stopped watching the Grammys and their ilk a long time ago. I would have liked to see this pairing though. I love Metallica and she's alright.
